JOB SUMMARY:

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for numbers and strategic financial planning? Our ecommerce agency is seeking a Bookkeeper and Financial Planner/Analyst to manage day-to-day financial operations while providing strategic insights to guide our financial decisions. This role requires a unique blend of bookkeeping accuracy and financial analysis, making it an ideal position for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys both the tactical and strategic aspects of finance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and financial analysis roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in English. Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Financial Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring all entries are up-to-date and correct.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoicing, track payments, and process bills, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and from clients.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring they are properly recorded and allocated to the correct cost centers or projects.
  • Payroll Assistance: Collaborate with the HR Manager to process payroll, ensuring accuracy in employee payments, deductions, and tax filings.

Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into the agency’s financial health.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Work closely with department heads to create budgets, monitor spending, and develop financial forecasts that support strategic planning.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, providing actionable insights to guide decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, anticipate future cash needs, and develop strategies to optimize cash management for the agency.
  • Profitability Analysis: Analyze the profitability of different clients, projects, and services, providing recommendations on pricing strategies and cost efficiencies.
  • Collaboration with External Parties: Work closely with accountants, auditors, and tax professionals to ensure compliance with financial regulations and to facilitate year-end audits or tax filings.
