QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Minimum of 10 years of progressive bookkeeping/accounting experience, with full-cycle responsibility
Diploma, certificate, or degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks online
Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication skills and discretion with confidential information

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including:
· Accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Payroll processing and remittances
· Bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Maintain and update the general ledger and financial records
Prepare and file government remittances (HST/GST, payroll source deductions, WSIB)
Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports
Liaise with external accountants for annual financial statements and tax filings
Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Provide timely and accurate financial information to management as required
