POSITION SUMMARY

Our growing firm is looking to add a key member to our team. As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for all aspects of full cycle bookkeeping, including developing and maintaining trusted client relationships.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with commonly used accounting software including but not limited to QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, Wave, FreshBooks etc.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-managed and attention to detail
  • Dedication to proactive thinking, integrity, precision execution and providing value-focused service
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships by monitoring and adhering to externally and internally imposed deadlines
  • Obtain and organize source documents in preparation for data entry
  • Record and/or appropriately classify transactions per source documents in accounting software, typically QuickBooks or Sage
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts including, but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit cards, loans and tax accounts
  • Prepare GST returns
  • Prepare payroll and remittances
  • Complete period-end process to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
  • Creating a new company in all accounting software’s used and revise default chart of accounts as required
  • Contribute to development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
