Position: Bookeeper/Office Administrator
Responsible To: General Manager & Directors

JOB DESCRIPTION

Stuart Jones is a bedroom furniture manufacturer based in Rustington. We are currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper/administrator to join our small office team to take responsibility for the day to day bookkeeping, sales order processing and assist with general office administration.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal person will:

  • Bookeeping experience preferably for a limited company
  • Full understanding of VAT and PAYE
  • Well organised, numerate and computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Verifying and posting supplier invoices, investigating any issues to completion.
  • Arranging payment to suppliers
  • Raising purchase orders for ad hoc requirements, office supplies and factory consumables
  • Posting customer remittances
  • Issuing of statements and payment chasing as required.
  • Bank, company credit card and petty cash reconciliation
  • Producing weekly / monthly cash flow and management accounts
  • Working with accountants to prepare VAT returns
  • Processing customer sales orders & issuing sales order confirmations
  • Issuing weekly customer sales reports
  • Maintaining good customer service and communication with our customers.
  • Processing RMA’s and rectifying customer issues as required
  • Checking employee time and absence records, ensuring accuracy, raising queries with managers as required.
  • Preparation of Payroll and submitting for processing
