Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Bookkeeper and Office Assistant supports the office and performs clerical and accounting tasks. This role involves making monthly QuickBooks accounting entries for clients and assisting with a variety of office operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure, demonstrates discretion, and embraces innovative solutions for improved results.
Reports to: Farm Business Consultant

POSITION DUTIES:

  • Provides accounting and clerical support to staff as needed.
  • Oversees information flow and daily office operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Manages incoming messages, including appointment cancellations and rescheduling.
  • Assists in managing field staff calendars.
  • Monitors office supply levels and handle restocking needs.
  • Enters financial data into QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
  • Builds and maintains trusting relationships with clients.
  • Maintains and updates databases, including mailing and contact lists.
  • Retrieves, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; prepare and send outgoing mail.
  • Performs receptionist duties, including answering and directing calls.
  • Conducts check accounting and processing.
  • Assists in preparing W-2 and 1099 forms.
  • Provides support to staff with questions and additional tasks as required.
