We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the owner and company by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of office functions. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other corporate accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Previous experience as an office clerk or in a similar administrative role is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation and assist in technical accounting matters as needed.
  • Manage filing systems, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Provide clerical support, including data entry, document preparation, and correspondence management.
  • Prepare Bi-weekly payroll, Quarterly reports, end of year reports, W2, 1099’s
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Town runs to check PO Box, deposit.
  • Register trucks & 2290.
  • Pull bid information when needed and submit bids
