POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Bookkeeper & Operations Assistant role blends bookkeeping and financial administrative responsibilities with operational support at the transfer station. The successful candidate will handle accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner. Alongside office-based bookkeeping tasks, this role also involves supporting daily transfer station operations to maintain a safe, organized, and customer-friendly environment. It offers a varied workload, a balance between administrative and hands-on duties, and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency with basic accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to balance office work with operational duties in a transfer station environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
