Our dynamic bookkeeping department are responsible for processing client records and submitting VAT returns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to become part of a talented, fast paced team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Sage/Xero/QuickBooks and Microsoft office
  • 1 + years’ experience in a Bookkeeping role
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Organised and methodical

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • CCH software experience
  • Previous experience of working within a Practice environment
  • Knowledge of VAT schemes

Responsibilities
  • Office based role but possible visits to clients on-site
  • Set up appropriate accounting records for new jobs – spreadsheets or accounts software
  • Work requested from clients in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met
  • Incoming records are checked for completeness
  • Records are processed in an expedient manner being mindful of time budgets
  • Dealing with queries relating to bookkeeping and VAT
  • Ensure all records are passed for year-end accounts once the final bookkeeping has been completed
  • Attend internal and external meetings relevant to the department
  • Other duties as directed by Senior Managers & Partners
  • Adhere to all Data Protection and Money Laundering policies issued by Ormerod Rutter.
