OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the financial health of our organization. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing financial reports.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in corporate, non-profit, or public accounting environments
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles
  • Proficiency in using various accounting software applications (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero)
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus
  • Excellent skills in account reconciliation, including debits & credits management
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Experience with payroll processing is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
