Description

Courage to Connect Mental Health Center is a private group practice located in Glenview. We are seeking a candidate for our bookkeeping and accounting position. This position will report directly to the Owner/CEO.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for general ledger entries and accounts payable in Quickbooks, payroll, and reporting duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ·5 to 7 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting
  • Understanding of employee benefits
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Excel software
  • Strong MS Office skills,
  • Extremely Organized and Intelligent
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must be excellent with numbers and financial data
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and initiative
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters Preferred
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Enter all bills into QuickBooks and pay when due.
  • Review the general ledger and reconciliation reports.
  • Manage account balances and cash flow management
  • Reconcile insurance payments through various methods (cash, online payments, credit cards etc.) and check for credibility
  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, client information etc.
  • Report on activity to the Managing Director & CEO
  • Process A/R and A/P in a timely manner
  • Process payroll for W2 employees and Independent Contractors
  • Monthly closing procedures
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Manage Employee Benefits for Company
  • Manage Insurance Policies for Company
  • Assist billing department on credit card management for patients, when needed.
  • Any special projects assigned by the Managing Director and CEO
