This is a remote position. Schedule: Full-time; 8AM - 5PM EST with 1 hr unpaid lunch break Client Timezone: Eastern Time Job Description This position manages the day-to-day accounting operations for each entity, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and compliant with established procedures. The individual will handle all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, process vendor payments, record deposits, manage intercompany transfers, and maintain clean, up-to-date books across multiple industries—including hospitality, food & beverage, real estate, and wellness. This role serves as the primary point of contact between business managers, ownership, and external accountants, ensuring that every dollar is properly tracked, categorized, and reported. It requires strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, and a deep understanding of how cash flow and financial performance interact across companies that share resources, vendors, and expenses. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and process-driven, with the initiative to identify inefficiencies, streamline financial systems, and maintain a clear financial picture across the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the businesses operate smoothly, invoices are paid and collected on time, and financial data is accurate and ready for monthly reporting and year-end tax preparation. Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain financial reports Assist with budget preparation and monitoring Provide expertise in areas such as private equity, governmental accounting, and financial concepts Utilize accounting software proficiently, including Quickbooks Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Quickbooks online experience is required Proven experience in public accounting Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills: Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation IMPORTANT!!
