About RWRC: For almost 50 years, the Richmond Women’s Resource Centre (RWRC) has helped women with resources, agency referrals, support groups, workshops, training programs and volunteering opportunities. Position Summary: RWRC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least three years of bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial record-keeping. Experience working in the non-profit sector is an asset. We are a small organization with one staff and multiple contractors.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have at least three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Have experience in bookkeeping within the non-profit sector.
  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
  • Are proficient with bookkeeping software; we use QuickBooks Online.
  • Communicate effectively and can work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and process payroll; remit payroll deductions to the CRA.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, GST returns, and CRA charitable tax receipts.
  • Monitor and manage organizational funds and contributions.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical accounting records and generate monthly reports.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Remote work is possible, but if you live in Richmond, this is an asset.
