SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and commercially focused Bookkeeper to join our close-knit team and take a central role in the financial management and reporting of the business. Based at our office in West Berkshire, you will play a crucial part in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service across the music industry.
The role is office based, but could be hybrid, with a competitive salary depending on experience.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Proven bookkeeping/ accounting experience for at least 2 years
  • A demonstrable track record of high attention to detail with consistency and accuracy
  • Adaptable and tech-savvy, being proficient with outlook, word, intermediary excel, pdf and keen to learn new tools and skills
  • A good working knowledge of the Xero accounting platform
  • Effective and efficient organisational and time management skills
  • Naturally able to prioritise and multi-task
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative environment with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable within a dynamic changing environment with an interest in business development
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

You will contribute to the delivery of accurate monthly management accounts, assist with budgeting, and work closely with the wider team to drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the directors, responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Deliver monthly stock and sales reports and related charges to record label partners
  • Oversee credit control and debtor management
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators
  • Cost control including analysing cost drivers and recommend strategies for cost efficiency
  • Cash flow management
  • Be the key point of contact to Company Accountants and delivering year end accounts on a timely manner and supporting with yearend adjustments
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
  • Multicurrency ledger management and FX purchasing
  • Line management of Finance Assistant
  • Responsibility for ad hoc analysis requests and projects from the directors of the company
