OVERVIEW

Part time Bookkeeper / (mornings 9 - 1) We are seeking a skilled experienced Bookkeeper to join our small family business. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will have experience in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial concepts, ensuring that all bookkeeping tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, and governmental accounting principles
  • Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and technical accounting practices
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting processes
  • Previous experience in payroll processing is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and account analysis
