Sutton Recruitment are recruiting a Bookkeeper to join a leading company entering their 40th year of business whom are fully focussed on growth driven by customer satisfaction. Customer loyalty is the driving force behind their success.
The Bookkeeper role sits within an independent company reporting in to the Managing Director, who help reduce the cost by supporting businesses with many management solutions ensuring that the customer care is always put first.
The purpose of the Bookkeeper role is to oversee the finance team and develop processes and systems to enable the company to not only meet its statutory obligations but produce meaningful financial data that supports business decisions.
As the Bookkeeper, you will lead the current accounts team and maintain systems to develop accurate, relevant and real-time financial information.

Responsibilities

You will have working experience of:
· Work with the company accountant to develop current systems that produce real-time information
· Liaise with the digital transformation consultant to enable the integration of systems
· Instigate and manage financial planning processes – cash flow, forecasting and costings
· Liaise with the company’s financial accountants
· Reconciling bank accounts on a daily basis
· Prepare relevant budgets as required
· Prepare invoices and manage payment systems to ensure steady cash flow
· Oversee purchase ledger
· Supply information to accountants for commercial factoring purposes
· Oversee meter readings and ensure these are managed proactively, upload reports to Ultimate system and ensure payments are complete
· Make financial decisions on debt management cases
· To undertake any other duty commensurate with the level of the post
· Ability to ensure invoicing and payment systems contribute to good financial management, in particular cash flow
· You will be experienced in the use of online accounting platforms, preferably Xero
