  • Quickbooks or Sage software: 2 years (required)
  • Bookkeeping: 2 years (required)
  • CRA coordination: 1 year (preferred)
  • year-end and audits: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tax processing for personal and corporate: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Record all financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
  • Prepare and file HST/GST returns and other government remittances (e.g., WSIB, payroll source deductions).
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end working papers and documents for review engagements or tax filings.
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain necessary financial data and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies.
  • Support firm accountants with ad hoc tasks, analysis, and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
