Description

As a Bookkeeper, the employee is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities in a professional and efficient manner:

  • Report directly to the Accounting Manager and provide administrative and financial support to the management team.
  • Manage accounts receivable (invoicing, deposits, statements) and accounts payable (bills, payments, expenses). Oversee invoice management and ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Carry out daily administrative tasks, including answering supplier phone calls, data entry in QuickBooks Online and Excel, and generating documents related to invoicing and month-end statements.
  • Calculate payroll liabilities including federal and provincial income tax, social security contributions, and employer obligations such as WSIB, EHT, ROEs, T4s, and T4As.
  • Update payroll records to reflect changes in employee exemptions, benefits, deductions, job titles, and departmental transfers.
  • Maintain effective communication with third-party vendors and ensure smooth collaboration between the accounting department and other teams.
  • Comply with all policies outlined in the Office Employee Regulation and any associated agreements.
