JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and will be proficient in various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity through meticulous record-keeping and analysis. Along with extensive knowledge on Year End procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with year end procedures is a must.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct account analysis effectively.
• Experience in preparing financial reports and conducting budget analysis is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial status.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
• Collaborate with management on financial concepts and technical accounting matters as needed.
• Ensure adherence to corporate accounting standards for both non-profit and governmental accounting as applicable.
