Description
This is a remote position. Job Highlights: Contract: Independent Contractor Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM UK Time with 1-hour unpaid break Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero. Process invoices, receipts, and payments. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions. Prepare and submit VAT returns, PAYE, and other statutory requirements. Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC as required. Provide regular financial updates to management. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Proficiency in Xero is essential. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and UK accounting standards. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
