This is a remote position. Are you a detail-driven bookkeeper who excels at accuracy and organization? We’re seeking a Bookkeeper to manage complex insurance payment processing across multiple hospital sites. In this role, you’ll work with QuickBooks Pro to allocate bulk payments, prepare quarterly financial reports, and ensure each transaction aligns with GAAP standards. You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy for over 28 hospital locations — breaking down large remittance files, managing invoices, and supporting operational reporting. Job Highlights: Contract type: Independent Contractor Schedule: 25 hours a week; Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm Central Responsibilities: Process and allocate insurance payments from multiple payers to specific hospital sites across 28 locations Review electronic remittance advice (ERA) records and attribute payments to correct hospital locations Break down bulk insurance payments (e.g., 100 patients across 15 hospitals) into individual site allocations Perform invoicing tasks using QuickBooks Pro Prepare quarterly financial reports including P&L statements Input financial data accurately into QuickBooks Pro system Handle additional administrative tasks as needed to support operations Communicate via email and participate in weekly meetings as required Requirements Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience GAAP familiar Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail for complex payment allocation tasks Experience with insurance payment processing preferred Independent Contractor Perks: Permanent work-from-home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job ZR_29564_JOB
