JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant with Bookkeeping Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our office operations by managing various administrative tasks and assisting with financial record-keeping. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You may be asked to work in clients’ office as well so there is travel within a 1 mile radius to the main office.

SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of debits and credits in accounting practices.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online accounting software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with public accounting principles is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and tracking payments.
  • Assist with double entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online. Xero as well but not mandatory-will train
  • Maintain organized files for public accounting documents and other essential paperwork.
  • May travel to client offices to provide bookkeeping support with management once or twice a week especially during tax season.
