THE ROLE

Starting September, we’re looking for a Bookseller Barista to help serve books and drinks to our guests and members. This role is about genuine curiosity for people, what they like to read and how to best connect them to what we do here.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Handle customer enquiries. Make informed book recommendations, drawing on your knowledge and experience in the book trade.
• Setup and facilitate events
• Process stock including special order and returns
• Contribute to growing our community of members and guests through A1 service and customer care.
• Make delicious coffee - beautifully extracted and presented.

✔ Ideally, you have experience serving drinks (if not, training can be provided for the right candidate)
✔ You’re good with people, and your track record reflects this
✔ You’ve worked at a bookshop before (desirable)
✔ You’ve worked a coffee bench before, and have some coffee-making/Espresso skills (desirable).
We’re aiming to have our new Bookseller Baristas in place by mid-September, so early applications are encouraged.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £14,652.00-£28,206.79 per year
