Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Silverdale Baptist Academy - Chattanooga, TN 37421 Position Type: Contractor At Silverdale Baptist Academy, we believe and know that God creates each child in the image of Himself. While all children have this in common, we also believe that each child is unique in many ways, including what their interests may be. We offer enrichment classes, called B.O.O.S.T. or "Building On Our Students' Talents," where children are able to spend extra time learning about topics that interest them. Classes are offered in five-week sessions throughout the school year and may vary for each session. Classes meet one day a week, either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:15-4:15 for the duration of the session. Description: Plan and execute enrichment classes for school age students (i.e. Crafts, STEAM, Chess, Outdoor Ed, Dance) in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment Applicant may commit to one session or multiple sessions Responsibilities: Demonstrate an understanding of childhood development and behavior Promote a positive atmosphere Keep accurate attendance records Support ideas and policies of the administration Act in a professional, respectful, and caring manner at all times Maintain confidentiality Clean and tidy classroom/other space after use (Leave it better than you found it.) Qualifications Display a Christ-like attitude when relating to students, staff, and parents Is poised, punctual, and enthusiastic Must be in agreement with Employee Statement of Faith, Mission, and Core Values High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous experience with children preferred Ability to assess a situation and use good judgment to resolve situations

The BOOST Instructor is responsible for planning and executing enrichment classes for school-age students in a nurturing environment. They must maintain a positive atmosphere and keep accurate attendance records.
