Learning and development opportunities Unique working environment with onsite cafes and free parking Work with products that improve patients’ lives.   We are looking for someone to join the Global Logistics Team as our new Border Compliance Specialist.  This role will challenge you but also enable you to work within a supportive and dynamic environment where you can put your stamp on this newly scoped role.   The Role The Border Compliance Specialist will be solely responsible for overseeing Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s entire process of importing and exporting Finished goods and raw materials to and from New Zealand via customs.  This role ensures that our business has full compliance with New Zealand Customs regulations and international trade laws, mitigating legal and financial risks through a structured customs compliance framework. freight activities are cost-effective, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.   Responsibilities include: Develop and manage critical trade documentation and maintain accurate HTS codes within ERP, country of origin, and product classification for all goods Manage the end-to-end Customs regulations and international trade laws. Prepare customs data reports, broker scorecards, and performance metrics to support informed business decision-making. Proactively conduct internal audits and risk assessments, Collaborate with supply chain teams on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. Monitor regulatory changes and implement business adjustments to maintain seamless compliance.   Skills required for the role include: Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance Experience with HS/HTS classification and Free Trade Agreements Accuracy in preparing customs documentation and declarations Understanding of duty optimisation, valuation, and origin rules Proficiency with ERP and trade compliance systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping Effective communication and stakeholder management skills   Benefits: This is a critical role which will provide you with the opportunity to have a real impact on the business.
