• Ensuring that safe working practices are strictly adhered to all the times. • Receiving daily work orders from the chief officer and organize the crew accordingly. • Supervising and work with the ratings to ensure that daily tasks are being carried out efficiently and economically. • Operating the windlass for anchoring the vessel, deck equipments and assist at mooring stations. • Supervises deck anchor handling operations.
