Supervisor - Vacation Relief Bottle Production Position Summary To serve our internal customers by being trained to perform the job duties of all supervisory positions within the Operations team and to provide seamless coverage during absences. This role supports a culture of operational excellence through the application of Lean Six Sigma principles, 5S/6S standards, visual management, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity across all departments. Essential Functions Manages, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards. Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws). Cross train in all areas of Production, Warehouse, Production Maintenance and Quality Control Supervision to provide coverage for supervisors when they are absent from work. Reviews all departmental activity in assigned area daily to prioritize tasks and ensures that daily goals (e.g. production, loading) are met. Completes and maintains production reports, loading reports, safety records, disciplinary notices, accident reports and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time-off requests and time cards. Communicates with co-workers and other employees regarding departmental activities, operational feedback and other information. Maintains confidentiality of financial information, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), and other sensitive and confidential information. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Operates production equipment (e.g. depalletizer, filler, palletizer) in production process to cover other employee’s breaks; ensures equipment is operating properly and containers are being filled and packaged according to established company standards. Implements 5S/6S practices to maintain organized, efficient, and visually managed work areas that promote safety and productivity. Reviews daily departmental activity to prioritize tasks and remove process bottlenecks, ensuring achievement of production, loading, and quality goals. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and partners with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that reduce waste, improve flow, and increase overall operational efficiency. Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), continuous improvement tools and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, root cause analysis, process mapping, waste reduction). Education 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Operations Management, Business or related field required. Experience 1 - 3 years of distribution, warehousing and/or production experience with a food production facility or similar industry. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Other Requirements Knowledge of: beverage industry and manufacturing process; production, warehouse, sanitation, quality control, and production maintenance processes; Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in: internal customer service; training and coaching. Ability to: train, develop, lead and manage a team; work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; communicate effectively with co-workers and other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; be trained on operating and supervising the start up of production line equipment, forklifts, route trucks and hand tools (e.g. screwdriver, wrench); operate a computer; delegate; problem solve; troubleshoot.
