Description

6-Month Fixed Term Contract (Part-Time, 30 hours per week)
We are currently seeking a motivated and approachable individual to join the Bowel Cancer Screening team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. This part-time position is offered on a 6-month fixed term contract and supports the screening programme across both East and West Berkshire.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a strong focus on patient care.

This role involves regular interaction with patients, clinical staff, and colleagues, so strong communication skills and a proactive, initiative-driven approach are essential.   • Provide advice, information, and support for those making direct contact with the screening centre.
  • Ensure timely access to screening colonoscopy or alternative diagnostic intervention and seamless transition to agreed pathways in primary, secondary, tertiary, or out-patient care settings, during all stages of the screening pathway.
  • Populate and maintain the BCSP local database.
  • Participate in ongoing data collection and quality assurance, service feedback and audit.
