Description We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Box Truck Driver to join our team in Rochester. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cylinders and a variety of products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner. This position also involves loading and unloading the truck efficiently to ensure prompt deliveries and customer satisfaction. Organize delivery tickets according to assigned delivery routes. Upload daily delivery tickets into the handheld device. Conduct daily pre-trip truck inspections in compliance with DOT regulations; complete all necessary hazardous materials documentation. Refuel the truck as needed throughout the day. Deliver products to customer locations, obtaining signatures on all delivery tickets. Collect payments on Cash-on-Delivery (COD) accounts when applicable. Pick up empty cylinders and authorize return merchandise from customers. Accurately complete trip sheets after each stop, noting delivery times, products delivered, and returned items. Unload truck at the plant at the end of each shift. Perform daily post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations. Secure and park the truck properly at the end of the day. Upload handheld device data to the central computer system. Return all merchandise and completed forms to the designated check-in area. Submit all paperwork to the Billing Department for verification and processing. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B or higher. Current Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Endorsement. Forklift Certification (in-house training available, if not currently certified). Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities Mechanical abilities. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills/knowledge of a handheld device.
