As a Box Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our clients. Day to day you’ll … Delivery & Pick-up: Safely transport goods to designated locations and complete pickups from suppliers or customers on schedule. Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Plan and optimize delivery routes to meet customer expectations and maximize efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions. Communication & Documentation: Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, suppliers, and customers. Keep accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and fuel usage. Vehicle Safety & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the box truck (tires, fluids, lights, brakes) and report any mechanical issues. Ensure compliance with all company policies and DOT regulations. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to traffic laws, HOS regulations, weight restrictions, and state/federal transportation requirements. Identify potential hazards on the road (weather, closures, accidents) and take appropriate action. Requirements Training and Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Work Experience Minimum of 3 years of related driving experience. Proven background as a box truck driver or in a similar logistics/delivery role. Qualifications Valid and registered state driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of local highways, routes, and traffic patterns. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and map reading. Physical stamina and fitness to manage loading/unloading cargo. Strong customer service, patience, and adaptability in dynamic situations. Professionalism, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
