Job Title: BPC Senior Analyst Location: Portsmouth , Preston, Warton or Frimley. Salary: £52,000 + depending on experience What you’ll be doing: Supporting the Finance Systems Manager in delivery of capability to the function and business (submarines and maritime services business) through decision making, based on the information at hand taking a ‘Best For Business’ approach, in order to get the BPC systems, applications and processes on track to meet the month end reporting requirements without risk of a material misstatement Using their in-depth business acumen and influencing skills to drive the direction of multiple stakeholders (internal Functions), other BAE Systems businesses and 3rd Parties (DXC, CG, SAP etc.) to deliver systems administration and monthly Financial Reporting requirements Driving those parties above, to resolve problems in a timely manner, to undertake ‘lessons learnt’ and implementing the appropriate systems, process, controls or training changes where they need to be made. Responsibility for Finance Master Data – ensuring that all Finance data objects and management information is complete and accurate Deliver the future data and management information requirements for the Finance Function, which results in improved business performance Ensuring robust systems in place to support company decision making processes Ensuring that financial and systems controls and procedures are maintained and updated Support continual improvement of BPC through minor enhancement to major development where Active control (Submarines) or Change Request Management (Maritime Services) process is followed You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role Your skills and experiences: Knowledge in Finance System (ERP or EPM), having in depth experience of the management of, validation of and running of interfaces (both Corporate and internal) across multiple systems Good experience of a SAP ERP upgrade or programme including requirement capture, design, user acceptance testing and change, training and communications Experience of working with Finance Systems and Finance teams across Sectors Proven experience in a financial reporting and analytical role Experience working working with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience with financial planning software (e.g., BPC, Planning Analytics / TM1, Cognos, Adaptive Insights, One Stream) Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP or Oracle Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Finance team: Role sits within Head Office Finance function specifically within the Finance Capability Centre reporting to the Finance Manager Business Intelligence. The role holder will deliver ongoing support across the finance systems as well as the wider finance function. “Orchestrating the month-end processes and run and maintain activities of the finance systems, ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of data within those systems. Ensuring that our finance tagged accounting systems are effectively maintained and continuously improved.
