  Job Purpose:  Under moderate supervision, this position supports the document management team to include, but not limited to, keying patient demographic information from the medical document(s) within a proprietary computer program, identifying standard and non-standard document types, and applying document and page level tags using proprietary software tools. This position requires basic operation of computers (hardware and software), while maintaining an acceptable speed and level of accuracy determined by company standards and team lead/supervisor/manager. This position will be monitored regularly for speed (output objects per hours worked) and accuracy (objects returned for re-processing).  Adherence to attendance policies is mandatory.   Duties:  * Keying in patient demographics from a medical document within Medata’s proprietary system * Identifying medical document(s) as a single image * Identifying medical document(s) in detail per page * Reviewing content and adding attachments to outbound correspondence  * Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required as an essential function of this role * Other duties as assigned    Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:  * Strong attention to detail * Graduate of a professional degree program from an accredited university or college, preferably within a health science and/or medical field of study * Accurate typing, spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and 10 key by touch * Basic reading, writing, and some mathematic skills required * Time management is a must, as a majority of the tasks given are deadline driven * Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel   Preferred Skills/Qualifications:  * Background in medical billing and basic medical terminology * Experience in Data Entry * Capable of performing assigned tasks with little supervision * Experience working in a multitask environment taking direction from multiple staff
