AMHC is seeking a compassionate, creative, and motivated full-time Brain Injury Specialist to provide hands-on rehabilitative support to individuals who have experienced an acquired brain injury, whether from an accident or medical condition. You'll play a vital role in helping clients reach their full potential through life skills training, community integration, and individualized support that empowers independence and enhances quality of life. What You’ll Do: Provide individual and group rehabilitative support focused on daily living skills (e.g., meal prep, hygiene, money management, fitness, etc.) Develop and lead engaging, client-focused group activities based on treatment plans Help clients regain independence and confidence through life skills training and compassionate support Regularly assess and adjust daily activity plans based on client progress Maintain accurate documentation of services, goals, and client progress Assist with community outings and activities, including transportation Work with the Neuro-Rehabilitation Manager to implement effective care strategies Monitor client safety and report concerns promptly Participate in care planning meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing training Promote CINR programs within the community and AMHC network Respond appropriately to on-site emergencies and client needs Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for clients and team members Why Join Us? Requirements An associate degree or equivalent credits is required. A minimum of one year of experience in a human services-related field is required. Successful completion of CPR and First Aid within the required timeframe of hire. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred. Must complete the Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) designation from the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) within the required timeframe of fourteen (14) months from the date of hire.
