Job Details Job Location: CLEARWATER, FL Salary Range: Undisclosed Description **AIR CONDITIONED WAREHOUSE** 2nd Shift - 5:00pm-3:30am 4 - 10s (Mon-Thurs OR Tue-Fri) Position Summary Responsible for learning and performing the set ups and running of Accupress Press Brake. Responsibilities • Inspect dimension and quality of all parts produced • Occasionally generates programs for equipment • Communicate with Programmers and Supervisor to prioritize daily work • Performs preventive maintenance of equipment • Maintains clear record and documentation of parts produced, manages raw stock inventory and disposes of scrap • Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, and/or set up sheets to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements • Fabricates work piece(s) as determined by work order specifications; retrieves correct materials, prepares workbench, and sets up appropriate tools to complete the job • Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards • Enters production quantities and labor hours into ERP system • May perform various other fabrication duties including sawing, deburring, hardware installation, etc. as necessary to satisfy customer requirements and meet specifications • Making sure the machine is set up properly, monitoring it during the process and documenting results • Perform basic math functions such as addition and subtraction • Works under immediate supervision and is not typically required to exercise independent judgment, but at times will be necessary • Safety and security: is able to observe safety and security procedures pertaining to plant maintenance/repair and use equipment properly • Keep work area organized to maintain a clean and safe work environment • Performs all other duties as directed by Management Qualifications Competencies & Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing and press brake equipment • Experience with setting up and operating press brake, experience operating Accupress equipment a plus • Previous sheet metal handling or exposure preferred • Computer literate with the ability to learn set-ups and programming • Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and seek out new skills • Ability to read, interpret, and explain all types of simple assembly and material prints and BOMs • Knowledge of air tools, power tools, grinders, and hand tools • General knowledge of shop machines and precision measuring tools • Ability to follow instructions and pre established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • Ability to inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects • Self motivated, able to work independently and within tight deadlines • Extremely organized, acute attention to detail, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness • Ability to safely operate (or learn to operate) a forklift, pallet jack and/or overhead crane while moving machinery around the shop • Ability to adapt to the work environment, deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, while promoting a positive outlook • Required to wear PPE equipment at all times while on production floor • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and remain on feet for long periods of time • Extremely dependable; consistently at work and on time (notifies if late or absent prior to being late of absent), follows instruction, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance • Excellent team member; driven to contribute to the team effort • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Continuously seeking and implementing methods to increase product quality, customer service and company efficiency • Displays a positive attitude • Ambitious, outgoing, loyal and dynamic • Respect for the Company’s resources; treat company equipment, funds, time and coworkers with respect
Responsibilities
The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the Accupress Press Brake, ensuring the quality and dimensions of produced parts. They will also perform preventive maintenance and maintain documentation of production and inventory.
