Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The successful candidate will already be a strong contributor to our production team, and is trusted and respected by their teammates.
  • This is an opportunity to develop or renew your skills in brake press operation.
  • In the near term (up to 30 days), this person would complete their brake press operation training, and increase our short-term brake press capacity as an incremental operator, and split their time between their current role and the new role.
  • In the longer term (30+ days) as our brake press operations needs continue to grow, the proportion of time spent in brake press operation will increase, and time spent with current responsibilities will decrease.
  • Business and operational needs will determine the exact pace of the transition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficient, effective, and safe operation of our brake press equipment
  • Reading, interpreting, and applying CAD drawings
  • Reading job traveler reports
  • Utilization of various types of dies and their uses
  • Evaluation of machine output to ensure conformity to specifications
  • Troubleshooting programming problems on the machine
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives
