Description Primary Responsibility: To work alongside the brake press team at QuikCut; forming on a wide variety of products. Brake press operators must be able to shape, bend and manipulate sheets of steel, aluminum and stainless-steel plates. All brake press operators must meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut, and providing quality work while completing forming projects in an efficient amount of time. Major Responsibilities: Be able to efficiently read blueprints and drawings from designers and engineers. Be able to read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures. Program your machine to fit the design. Measure the final product to ensure uniformity according to the blueprint. Restock materials needing to be formed, or stack completed materials in the appropriate area. Perform routine maintenance on the machine and log it. Operates a brake press to manufacture tools, equipment and other components from sheet metal or metal plates. Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specification. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Physical Requirements: prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying materials. Must be able to lift 25 – 90 pounds at a time.
