Job Description: Falcon Industries is looking to add a Brake Press Set-Up Operator to our team. The Brake Press- Set Up Operator is responsible for preparing and calibrating brake presses to bend and shape metal sheets according to precise engineering blueprints. Essential duties and responsibilities: Set up and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Brake Press Choose and install the correct punch and die Review technical drawings, blueprints and job order to determine exact material specifications and bending process Set up and run prototypes and production parts independently Conduct test bends, measure parts using precision tools, adjust machine settings until the first piece meets quality standards Inspect parts for quality and conformance to blueprint specifications Monitor the machine during operation for malfunctions, perform routine cleaning Maintains work area Loads and unloads metal blanks. May perform other related duties or work at a different workstation as production needs require Requirements · Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing · Minimum 5 years of experience operating Cincinnati and Amada Press Brakes or equivalent · High School Diploma or Equivalent · Ability to read blueprints and measure part, understand metallurgy · Ability to use precision tools like calipers, micrometers, height gauges · Ability to meet productivity standards, completing work in a timely manner · Ability to work independently and in a team environment · Ability to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment · Detail-orientated · Experience in safety procedures including proper use of emergency stops and machine guards · Energetic and eager to learn · Dependable Physical Requirements: · Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds · Ability to sit, walk and stand for long shifts (up to 10 hours) · Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) · Ability to work in noisy environment, varying temperatures Bonus Points: · Experience in metal shop production · Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) Department: Brakes Reports to: Brake Dept.
