BRAKE PRESS SETUP/OPERATOR

SKILL FACTOR:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience setting up and operating a CNC brake press.
• Experience operating a forklift an asset
• Ability to complete tasks in team environment.
• Capable of measuring the dimensions of part/product to print.
• Ability to read prints.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in team environment.
• Knowledge of metal materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
• Technical program through college or university an asset;
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations;

Experience:

• Brake Press: 1 year (required)

• Adhere to JGW Health & Safety standards, and maintain, wear or use appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
• Experience with Hydraulic and/or Electric, CNC Brake Press Set up and Operation. Ability to determine the suitable machine for the job and the necessary punch and die pieces required and prepare the machine accordingly.
• Experience reading blueprints and ability to perform measurements and mathematics as required.
• Experience using measuring devices such as Square, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Tape Measure.
• Perform routine maintenance on the equipment.
• Produce consistently high quality and high quantity of production
• Provide input towards continuous improvement
• Adhere to JGW workmanship standards
• Record work in shop floor data collection system
• Troubleshooting experience.
• Ensures that the finished product meets established quality standards using all tools and ISO procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager;
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with JGW Code of Business Conduct and in accordance to the JGW Confidentiality Policy.
