Thank customers after every interaction; we don’t take their partnership with us for granted. In this client-facing role, you understand the importance of customer service and the foundation of ACT. You will become a product knowledge expert, knowing all about what we sell and how to support our customers. This is a unique hybrid role, and your time will be split between being out on the road delivering to our customers and working in the warehouse, depending on seasonal demands. General responsibilities include: Driving & Deliveries * Safely load and unload product using the appropriate equipment * Know our products and your route * Know our customers. Greet and assist them in a friendly and efficient manner When not on the road, you will be a valued member of our warehouse team. You’ll perform a variety of tasks related to product movement, warehouse organization and cleanliness, and customer service. General responsibilities include: Shipping & Receiving * Pick orders and prepare them in staging areas for delivery * Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks * Pick orders for immediate pick-up * Ensure accuracy of order against paperwork * Move incoming product to the designated location in the branch Customer Service * Greet customers entering the warehouse by addressing them verbally * Serve them immediately or indicate that they will be helped as quickly as we can manage Qualifications Education/Experience/Skill * Valid Class 3 drivers license with air brake endorsement * Moffett experience an asset * High school education required * Able to read and write word and letter/number sequences Behavioural Disposition * High compliance with standards, requirements, and processes. You’ll come to work and give us your best each day * Emotional intelligence that facilitates respectful and courteous interactions with customers and other Gentek employees * Attentive and detail-oriented Environment & Physical/Mental Demands * Must be able to safely lift 50lbs * Must be able to operate material handling equipment * Distribution branch physical environment: noise, fluctuating temperature due to bay doors being open and going in and out of the distribution truck, constant stimulation of senses (visual, audio distractions) Who Is Gentek?
