JOB DESCRIPTION

Canada’s largest family-owned moving company is looking for someone who is energetic, organized and customer focused to run our Winnipeg-MB branch. The manager would be responsible for the branch goals and activities. These responsibilities include but not limited to directing operations and sales, assessing local market conditions and identify sales opportunities, managing a budget and communicating with other branches within the company to work together to serve the customers.

  • Management experience, especially in similar businesses like Logistics or Home Services where the applicant was managing multiple crews

Management experience is an asset, but not mandatory.

Job Duties include:

  • operational oversight for the branch, which typically has a crew of 10 to 25 drivers and helpers, including scheduling, problem solving for issues encountered, onboarding, discipline, training, health and safety - these duties are supported by central departments within the company and guidelines/initiatives will be provided & the successful applicant will be supported by central staff in these duties
  • sales oversight for the branch, including sales appointment scheduling, marketing effort input, and possibility of doing estimates when the occasion calls for it
  • customer relations oversight for the branch, including interfacing with customers facing service issues, responding to customer concerns and reviews, soliciting feedback and reviews, customer retention, etc.
  • facilities & fleet oversight for the branch, including fleet maintenance scheduling, storage business management, repair management for building and equipment, etc.
  • operational & sales cooperation with other branches & long-distance fleet - our local branches support each other in times of high volume and support our long-distance fleet in servicing moves that are shipped on long distance units. This may include coordination with other branches & central dispatch, servicing moves or providing labour for other branches or the long-distance department.
