POSITION SUMMARY

The Branch Manager Floater provides management support to all branches as needed. The Floater schedule can vary frequently and this position requires adaptability based on the needs of the branches. Responsible for managing all MSR/FSR floaters. Ensures all financial needs of our members are identified and met. Leads and develops employees to provide exceptional service to our members. Directs the effective execution of our service, sales, and operational processes. Acts as the Meriwest Ambassador in your local marketplace to develop strong business and community relationships. Provide support to Business Development team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of proven branch and sales management experience at a financial institution leading, managing, motivating and developing a large team to meet and exceed assigned goals, within a goal based and results driven environment.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of consumer, business banking, mortgage products, financial institution branch operations, loans and related financial services.
  • Proven record of sound decision making balancing risk with member needs and business goals.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and responsibilities.
  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
  • Verifiable job history showing stability, consistency, dependability and accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall sales and service performance of the branch and for ensuring that our members’ experience always exceeds expectations. Maintains a professional image of the branch to preserve Credit Union unique and innovative brand image.
  • Ensures staff is trained to handle all required aspects of job responsibilities in order to efficiently operate the branch. Works with Human Resources in interviewing and selecting applicants for open positions. Regularly schedule time to cover all branches on a monthly basis while the other FC Manager is in the office to allow them time to complete their management coaching responsibilities.
  • Supports all marketing sales management efforts as directed by the VP Retail Delivery. Conduct training with branch staff to ensure their thorough understanding prior to each marketing campaign, introduction of new products, change in pricing or change in distribution.
  • Conducts feedback and coaches the branch Staff on performance, expectations, and accomplishments. Meets with each staff member weekly to review their progress and sets goals for areas needing development. Administers performance evaluations according to established Meriwest Credit Union guidelines.
  • Supports and coordinates with our Wealth Advisors, Business Banking, Business Development and Meriwest Mortgage partners in their efforts to increase business and support community activities
  • Directs the weekly sales and service activities of your team to ensure member needs are identified and solutions provided. Coaches’ employees to achieve sales commitments.
  • Primary Security officer for the branch. Conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
  • Monitor closely industry trends in lending and deposit operations to feed research and development activities and assure that the company’s products, services and processes are remaining competitive. Manages and oversees expenses. Pursues cost-saving measures.
    Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
