EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15 years of progressive operational management experience in the Diamond Drilling or Mineral Exploration industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, business or related field is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels of the organization and with clients.
  • Able to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver’s License and current Driver’s Abstract.
  • Criminal Record Check if required.
  • Valid passport for international travel.
  • Completion of required online and other training.
  • In-depth knowledge of diamond drilling technologies, equipment standards, and sustainability practices.

    Pay: $148,000.00-$185,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch to support regional operational activities, contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of drilling projects
  • Participate in strategic planning to align branch and regional goals with the overall company goals. Bring forward strategic plans to further the long-term success and sustainability of their region.
  • Oversee shop and logistics support for regional projects. Ensure adequate stock and readiness of equipment and inventory to meet forecasted operational needs.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure alignment and standardization across the company.
  • Oversee the mobilization and demobilization of regional projects to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Communicate regularly with operations management about drilling conditions, production, recovery, and safety improvements that can be made on site.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for regional clients, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring client satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure that the Foreman and drill crews are following all the company protocols and operating as efficiently and safely as possible.
  • Actively participate in regional partnerships to ensure compliance with agreement terms.
  • Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded, and costs are controlled by collaborating with the finance department to establish and manage the budget for their branch location.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations on regional performance, challenges, and growth opportunities to the Executive Team and Advisory Board.
