Description The Branch Manager is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of organizational strategic plans, as well as overseeing strategic sales for the assigned branch in order to generate loan growth and increase revenues. This position promotes and participates in direct sale of credit union products and services as well as developing membership growth through new and existing accounts. The Branch Manager suggests changes in sales tactics designed to increase markets and market share. This position insures the branch complies with all regulations. The Branch Manager participates in management of credit union as a member of the mid management team and interacts with senior management. Exhibits thorough knowledge of SCU products and services and displays exceptional cross selling and service skills. The Branch Manager also performs functionality related to Human Resource functions; hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination. The Branch Manager must be able to work independently and cohesively with a team. Manage, coach, develop and evaluate performance of supervisors and staff on meeting organizational sales, service goals and objectives. Directs and monitors the branch staff to ensure professionalism, leadership, sales delivery, and meets and/or exceeds CCU standards. Provide lending support and training to all staff members. Processes loans within lending authority or in conjunction with credit officer approval. Provides back up assistance to Teller Supervisor with all related functions of the department. Provides answers and problem resolution about products service and technical issues. Efficiently oversees all daily operations of the branch, including lending, balancing, ordering cash, and maintaining a cash drawer. Works in conjunction with the Corporate Team to maintain the facility and the property. Assists all staff with regards to products, regulations and changes. Implement and manage sales coaching and training processes. Coordinate employee training and coaching for internal and external sales. Monitors product delivery quality and takes action to resolve issues. Executes all Human Resource related functions with support from the HR Director. Act as liaison for Climb Credit Union in the community, works with Business Services to generate new business accounts and loans. Assures that appropriate records are maintained, required reports processed and applicable audits are performed on time. Ensure regulatory compliance. Provide back-up support for direct reports. Provides problem resolution for members as a member of management team. Performance Measurements: 1. To achieve or exceed the credit union's sales goals and objectives (i.e., market share, assets, loans and other product/service growth and penetration). 2. To thoroughly understand the credit union's products and services in order to solicit members' and potential members' wants and needs regarding current and future products and services. 3. To provide direction and recommendations to management, based on research, regarding sales and market strategies. 4. Provide respectful, accurate, courteous, timely, professional service to all members and staff. 5. Maximize sales opportunities and success through employee motivation, follow-up, training, and incentives. 6. Coach and mentor department supervisors and staff. 7. To be able to travel and be flexible with hours worked. 8. Support all internal and external educational opportunities. Participate in quality forums such as Team Solutions. 9. Implement and comply with credit union published policies and procedures as well as directives in the Employee Handbook. 10. Maintain acceptable risk, internal control standards and applicable audits. 11. Offer products and services to meet our members' needs. Educate members and potential members on all products and services to help identify potential needs and cross sell appropriate products and services. 12. Participate in building a strong teamwork oriented environment. Knowledge & Skills: Two to five years of similar or related experience. Three to five years of in depth underwriting experience and familiarity with multiple types of loan products, documents and lending regulations. This includes the ability to process, underwrite and close all types of consumer loans. (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Knowledge of credit union/financial products and services. Excellent organizational and communicative skills. Proficient in computer programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Power point. Able to operate a 10-key calculator, computer keyboard, typewriter and telephone. Should be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $74,000 depending on experience, education and qualifications.
