POSITION OVERVIEW:

NCSG Hauling and Rigging Ltd. o/a Barnhart has an opening for a Branch Manager in our Calgary, Alberta location. The Barnhart Branch Manager is our Local Leader, a peer to our Senior Leadership Team. As the Local Leader, you will be treated as a business owner, responsible for leading the branch team in sales, execution and the financial results of Barnhart. Leadership and development of your team will be the key to your success. You will also collaborate with other branches in executing work in the region and the national footprint. As the Local Leader, a strong focus on safety and quality is paramount to the success of your Branch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands on leadership, supervisory and mentoring experience with a safety conscious attitude and leadership style;
  • The Branch Manager will be comfortable in a “services driven business”. Understands the nuances of customer and market needs and how to meet these in a profitable manner;
  • Ability to lead and manage all moving parts in a complex organization through multi-tasking to maintain controls of operations;
  • Mechanically inclined and a proven track record of success in rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance or transportation execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and translate customer needs into business and service requirements;
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to look at situations from multiple points of views;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new systems as required by internal needs or customer requirements;
  • Degree/Technical Diploma required or sufficient industry experience;
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Branch like a business owner with alignment to Barnhart’s mission statement and core values. Build your team to be excellent in Sales, Operations, Project Management, Dispatch, Maintenance and Facilities directing and optimizing operations within the branch.
  • Motivate the Branch Team to aim for Barnhart’s success metrics in Financials Returns, Safety, Customer Satisfaction and other Key Markers. We strive to be an Industry Standard Bearer.
  • Build a local culture of Significance, Belonging, Trust, Progress and Recognition through Training and developing your Team.
  • Deliver high quality customer service including relationship management, contract knowledge, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ensure that all branch employees are familiar and work in accordance with company goals and safety standards by monitoring and reinforcing compliance with policies and procedures as well as industry regulations;
  • Actively market the Company services and seek growth opportunities in addition to maintaining collaborative and profitable relationships with customer organizations;
  • Identify and communicate potential growth opportunities for the company to the Executive team;
  • Responsible for the completion of the annual business planning process and strategic direction of the Branch. Monitoring and evaluating performance of the plan through the fiscal year.
  • Assume additional responsibilities for related duties.
