Description The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the branch. This role drives sales and service excellence, operational integrity, community engagement, and team development. The Branch Manager ensures the branch meets financial goals while delivering an exceptional member experience aligned with the credit union’s mission and values. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, coach, develop, and retain high-performing team members Foster a positive, member-focused culture Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback Lead regular team meetings and training sessions Ensure staff adherence to policies, procedures, and service standards Sales & Business Development Achieve branch sales, lending, and deposit growth goals Develop and execute local business development strategies Build relationships with members, businesses, and community organizations Identify cross-selling opportunities to deepen member relationships Monitor branch performance metrics and implement improvement strategies Operations & Compliance Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies, and audit standards Manage branch security and risk mitigation procedures Ensure proper cash handling and internal controls Resolve complex member issues and escalations Member Experience Champion a high-quality member service environment Address and resolve member concerns promptly and professionally Promote financial wellness and education initiatives Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 3–5+ years of financial institution experience 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and coaching skills Proven sales and business development experience Solid understanding of consumer lending and deposit products Knowledge of banking/credit union regulations and compliance Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive results
