Description:
Roberts Farm Equipment Sales Inc. is currently seeking full-time permanent Branch Manager to lead the team and day-to-day operations at our Lucknow, ON location!
The Branch Manager, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Lucknow branch, including managing sales staff, driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting financial goals by supervising all activities within the branch.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent is required
- University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing Agricultural Technologies or a related field is considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in a similar position related to sales and supervision
- Experience in high volume sales prospecting/lead generation is required
- Must have a working knowledge of Agricultural/Construction practices and equipment
- Must be comfortable with current technology. Proficient with the following computer
- environments: Current Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer

Responsibilities:
Branch Management – 30%:
- Provides effective leadership to the sales team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
- Responsible for assisting the Department Managers with resolving store employee and customer issues. Escalates issues to Department and Operations Managers as required.
- Takes a proactive approach to resolving customer issues, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborates with Branch Department Managers and other team members to identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Implements and maintains customer satisfaction programs to enhance overall client experience.
- Oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, optimal levels and product availability, timely order fulfillment, and effective delivery to customers.
- Initiates and documents all store-to-store equipment transfers to ensure proper level of inventory for all available product lines.
- Implements and enforces company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
- Manages the facilities and sales budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve financial goals.
- Analyzes financial reports and key performance indicators to make informed business decisions.
- Stays abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify business opportunities.
- Implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Participates in the JHSC and conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and health and safety walk-through.
Facility Management:
- Oversees the day-to-day maintenance of all buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Ensures the facility complies with local, provincial and federal regulations regarding health and safety.
- Implements safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and ensure all safety equipment is regularly inspected.
- Manages the budget for facility-related expenditures, including maintenance, utilities, and equipment. Make cost-effective decisions while maintaining the quality of the facility.
- Works with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, cleaning services, security, and other outsourced facility management tasks. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely completion of work.
- Oversees the security of the facility by managing access control systems, security personnel, and surveillance equipment. Ensure the safety of the premises, employees, and visitors.
- Manages and maintains inventory for all equipment, tools, and assets used in the facility. Ensure timely repairs and replacements when needed.
- Manages emergency response plans for the facility, including fire drills, evacuations, and response to natural disasters or other emergencies.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility by managing housekeeping staff or services. Implement cleaning schedules and ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Oversees facility-related projects such as renovations, upgrades, or expansions. Coordinate timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicates with employees regarding facility-related issues, updates, and maintenance schedules. Address any concerns or requests related to the facility.
Sales Management – 60%:
- Responsible for the direct management of sales staff at designated location.
- Monitors and evaluates sales employees’ performance and addresses performance issues as required. Works with sales team to set annual sales objectives and distributes leads.
- Assists in mentorship, training and succession planning for branch sales staff.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of branch sales department, ensuring efficient inventory management, optimal levels and product availability, timely order fulfillment, and effective service delivery.
- Primary point of contact for the Branch Sales department, works in collaboration with the Department Managers and, when necessary, the Operations Managers.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving the branch sales contracts and equipment orders for branch Sales Representatives, as per the department criteria.
- Responsible for ensuring all Sales Agreements are completed properly with all information
- Sign off on all worksheets to ensure proper programs and margins are applied and all paperwork is completed.
- Evaluates branch trade values and confirms programs. Updates trade information in business system.
- Responsible for the initial analysis of sales inquiries, feasibility review, and for obtaining all the necessary and required information to ensure an accurate quote.
- Prepares accurate and timely sales information and reports for the Manager of Sales Operations, as required.
- Works in collaboration with the Manager of Sales Operations on equipment ordering for each applicable product line.
Sales – 10%:
- Interacts with customers by phone, in person, and via email to ensure customer’s inquiries are addressed and optimal customer service is provided
- Completes sales quotes and sales contracts in a timely and accurate manner while following standard operating procedure
- Sells equipment according to the company’s policies and practices
- Reviews equipment contracts following the completion of a sale
- Sells equipment according to acceptable practices and maintain levels of gross profit
- Responsible to know all products’ availability, use, benefits and pricing structures
- Executes on monthly and yearly sales and profit goals
- Creates sales agreements and finance contracts, forwards to customer for approval.
- Complete sales quotes and invoices in a timely manner
