Description
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations, sales performance, and team development of a wholesale distribution branch. This role ensures the branch operates efficiently, delivers exceptional customer experience, and achieves sales and profitability goals while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Branch Manager provides hands-on leadership to branch staff, drives local market growth, builds strong relationships with customers and vendors, and ensures alignment with company policies, procedures, and strategic objectives. The Branch Manager is accountable for fostering a customer-focused culture, optimizing operational processes, and developing team members to support long-term business success. Responsibilities: * Communicate staffing needs to the Territory Management team to ensure branch sales goals are met.Participate in interviewing,hiring,andtrainingnewemployees. * Partner withthe TerritoryManagement team and Human Resources to conducttimelyand constructive performance reviews.  * Provide training andretrainingbranch sales and operational processes. Communicate process changes to branch employeesand updateQMSprocessdocuments(work instructions,andoperating instructions). * Determinecustomer requirements and expectationstorecommend specific products and solutions while increasing sales and average order sizeby means ofstocking plan, cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales. * Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information to customers both in person and over the phone. * Keep inventory levels in line with corporateobjectiveswhile ensuring adequate stock for customers. * Perform duties and functions per QMS and selling policies,processes,and guidelines. * Ensure safety procedures per QMS for products and equipment are followed to providea safeenvironment for staff and customers. * Ensure compliancewithcompany policies and QMS procedures. * Perform other dutiesand responsibilitiesas assigned.  Skills and Abilities:  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  * Excellent sales and customer service skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong supervisory and leadership skillsare important. * Ability to prioritize tasks anddelegatethem whenappropriate. * Ability to function well in a high-pacedandstressful environment. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 5 or moreyears of experience inthe flooring industry in a wholesale distribution environment preferred. * Prior experience developing and leading teams in a retail sales-oriented environment. * Proficient working knowledge of ERPand WMS systemsis preferred.  Physical Requirements:  * Prolonged periodsofstanding, bending,lifting,and working on a computer. * Working in a warehouse environment where temperaturefluctuationsoccur.  * Ability to safelylift60pounds at times.  * May travel to other branch locations to support training and/or staffing needs.
