GENERAL SUMMARY

The Branch Manager is responsible for operating assigned branch offices (Cranberry Township and Monaca locations) and providing quality service to members in account transactions, loan applications and closings, new account openings and on boarding. Resolve problems within established policies and guidelines. Train, coach and direct branch staff in all aspects of their job duties to achieve branch objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or a combination of equivalent experience and/or education
  • Leadership skills that include experience in team building, coaching, and mentoring staff
  • Self-directed individual with well-developed interpersonal skills, effective communications skills, both written and oral, as well as time management skills
  • Cash management experience – ability to manage cash operations, audits, overall balancing.
  • Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and sound decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage branch operations
  • Ability to foster collaboration and a positive work environment
  • Similar or transferable experience working within a credit union, community banking or financial industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, to include MS-Office products

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations.
  • Monitor key products to ensure profitable and sound business practices and quality service to members.
  • Monitor branch activity including transaction volume, transaction errors, new accounts, cross sales, and USX FCU Financial Group activity.
  • Apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch. Train each employee to recognize opportunities and maximize opportunities to educate members and sell products.
  • Evaluate the job performance of branch office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Provide evaluations of performance along with documented support.
  • Interview and select quality applicants for vacancies, ensuring the credit union is adequately staffed with competent quality employees.
  • Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
  • Assist staff and members in solving complex account problems.
  • Schedule adequate staff to provide for a smooth and efficient branch operation.
  • Ensure staff receives ongoing training on security and robbery practices.
  • Ensure staff engage in drills and training for disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • May function as an MSR or New Accounts Representative
  • Periodic travel as needed to USX Federal Credit Union locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
