BRANCH SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Salary: $90,000 – $105,000
Coppersmith Recruitment is seeking a Branch Safety Supervisor on behalf of a leading construction and contracting company. This role will be based in the Raleigh-Durham area and is ideal for an experienced safety professional ready to take ownership of safety initiatives, compliance programs, and cultural leadership across multiple sites.
The Role
As Branch Safety Supervisor, you will be the primary safety resource for branch operations, overseeing everything from on-site audits and incident investigations to safety program implementation and staff coaching. This is a hands-on, leadership role requiring technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to build a culture of safety across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor branch-wide safety programs, procedures, and prevention plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters, ensuring alignment between project teams and client requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations for workplace injuries, illnesses, and near-miss events; ensure accurate reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to verify compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Deliver coaching and guidance to employees to reinforce safety best practices.
  • Establish branch and project-level safety goals, reporting progress to senior leadership.
  • Approve and manage safety equipment and PPE standards.
  • Produce monthly safety performance reports for regional management.
  • Support field and office teams with expert advice to reduce risks and improve safety outcomes.
