Description Department: Branch Administration Reports to: Branch Manager Supervises: None Summary: Acts as an overall resource to branch location. Works at location to provide prompt, courteous service to FSB customers. Cross trained to be able to provide quality customer service on a variety of FSB products and services, often filling in for various roles within the branch as needed. Specific Job Functions: Acts as a Personal Banking Rep, Lead Teller, or Teller dependent on the need of the office. Provides mentoring and training to other team members. Stays abreast of regulations, legal requirements and overall risks associated with Branch Operations. In addition, will work to assess and mitigate risk when processing and assisting with daily branch operations. This includes but is not limited to: check cashing, raising cash limits, account opening, etc.. Meeting with current or prospective customers and counseling them on the benefits and features of bank products, as well as assisting customers with loan applications. Cross selling the banks products and services and referring customers to other bank representatives as appropriate. Preparing forms for opening/closing accounts, including checking, savings, CD’s, savings bonds. Establishes proper identification of new customer and decides whether to accept new account based on credit report and ID provided. Open IRA accounts, counsel customers on benefits and features of IRA product, assist customers with distributions, contributions, and transfers. Serves customers at teller window, processing a variety of transactions using own judgment within limits regarding the validity of transactions presented. Sells money orders, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, and cash advances. Process transactions that arrive in the night drop or mail and send customers receipts. Order funds for businesses, coin and bills, ordering foreign currency. Balance cash drawer. Balance ATM machine. Maintain vault cash, open/closes vault daily, if given responsibility of lead teller. Take consumer lending application, gather appropriate information and close loan with customer if filling in for this responsibility. Coordinate lending decision with manager or other lender in organization. Maintaining the bank’s lock box program, including issuing/closing out boxes, posting lock box payments and mailing out statements. Assist customers with stop pays, wires, ACH’s and other related services. Act as Notary Public. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements High School Education or equivalent required Excellent Customer Service skills Thorough understanding of bank related software Ability to utilize Outlook Calendar Solid knowledge of bank products and services, and regulatory requirements related to open/closing accounts, check cashing, consumer lending, etc. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
