Description The Brand Coordinator - Craft/Specialty/Import, will assist the oversight of all aspects for Cavalier's beer, wine, and spirits portfolio. This includes working with the VP of Sales to develop and execute the brand strategy, retail programming, marketing communications, and innovation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically about brand architecture, consumer targeting, positioning, and customer marketing while also having the ability to identify future trends and opportunities. The successful brand coordinator will be an outstanding team leader, culture builder, and business driver. Principal Responsibilities: Communicate market programs and objectives with Cavalier Distributing management to ensure proper alignment with monthly and overall company goals Responsible for assisting with building and managing a growth strategy for each brand Assisting with the management of Cavalier’s warehouse inventory of products Work with the VP of Sales to communicate with suppliers on brands, pricing strategies, promotions, orders, etc. Meeting with supplier based upon volume Monitor business and brand health performance of suppliers using internal and external data resources to identify issues and opportunities to drive both brand development and volume performance Assist with managing brand budgets; ensuring that dollars are allocated and spent efficiently and effectively; balance expenditures against volume and goals Work with marketing to create quarterly seasonal sell sheets and monthly deal sheets Stay up-to-date on new products and the changing needs of the market Utilize sales tools (IRI) Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in a Business or Marketing related field preferred • Up to 2 years’ brand experience with majority of the experience in the beer industry strongly preferred • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation and influencing skills • Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team • Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed • Superior organization skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines • Sales and customer service experience preferred • Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products. • Must possess superior communication, presentation and customer service skills • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people • Strong analytical skills and numeric ability • Attention to detail and strong organizations skills • Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to process information/merchandise. • Ability to communicate with supervisor, Company Sales Representatives, current and prospective customers on a professional level. • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. • Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license with a clean DMV record. Physical Requirements: • Use of hand and foot controls for driving • Walking and climbing stairs • Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis. • Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine • Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds on an occasional basis. • Ability to bend and stoop.
